(QUEST) Lv1: The Barkeep Robery

(Annabelle Hart, Nova Gauner, Rose Florance and Vorgar)

Annabelle shyly approaches the Lake, she's ready as always to complete her quest. She has her potion belt in check, equipped with all sorts of handy medicines, poisons, etc. She has her Sword of Bloody Entrails, ready to strike, all she needs is right within her reach. But still, she can't help but feel nervous. Not because she has to bring justice to a thief, but because she has to meet up with new people on her quest. Annabelle has always been extremely shy and awkward around new people, but she knew she would need their help if she was going to take this sucker down. So she gathered all her courage and reached the frozen lake, awaiting for the other to arrive.

I just finished setting up all my equipment and supplies for this new quest, I'm supposed to meet Rose and someone else in the evening by the Frozen lake. I better hurry or i might be late, As i approach the lake i see someone already there, a girl, but its not Rose.
As i get closer i say, "Are you one of my members for this robbery quest?" i said while walking closer, "I'm surprised i wasn't the first one here, my names Nova" i said while holding my hand out to shake.

I woke up gathering some supplies for our team as I set off to the frozen lake. I landed to find nova there and a lady who I thought she be older them me as I approached the group. "Hey nova and hello miss I'm rose its nice to meet you.""I hope we can get along just fine" I said as I extended my hand out to the young lady.

Annabelle takes notice of the strange man before her. He claims to be here for the quest as well. She notices him approaching her as he speaks. She sees him extend his hand for a shake. She nervously shakes his hand then sees another person approaching. A girl this time.  Annabelle nods at her greeting and shakes her hand nervously as well.

"I'm sure we'll all get along fine. "

"Well seems like the gangs here, alright the quest this time is to catch a thief and bring him back dead or alive, same with his buddy's" "I think its best if we bring them all in alive, no need to killed them if we don't need to" Looking back to Rose as i smile.

"Shall we traverse a bit before it gets to dark" as i said while walking a little ahead of my group.

Standing by the lakes side you see a lone orc, he stares out at the water then turns to face the group of adventurers and speaks out in crude common. "Who you and why you enter Vorgar's lands" The icy winds picking up as he turns to face you fully, the orc stands 8 feet tall and is barrel chested.

I stared at the orc that stood there as I kept my distance from him. I looked at the other 2 as I nodded "Yes lets go before they get farther away from us" I said looking at anna and nova smiling and shivering.

Annabelle notices the Orc in the distance. She looks at Nova and Rose, wondering who will be the one to answer him. Annabelle is frightened by his incredible posture, and ability to speak. The other creatures she had to deal with before tended to be quite unintelligent and mute. She nudged Nova, as if to tell him to say something, and turned her head to the Orcs direction.

As Nova noticed the orc, he quickly turned to save Rose knowing about her past to see her shaken, then noticed the nudge from Annabella. He looked back toward the orc.

"You two stay here" As he said while walking toward the orc with his hand on his sword, upon standing the 8 foot orc. " We're here on a important quest, we have to Bring back Poper a man who stole a cash register from a bar, Dead or Alive" " We decide to bring him back alive" "Now may i ask whats your purpose here and who you are" standing firm looking up to the orc, but none the less still on guard.

"Me Vorgar!" The Orc bellows angrily. "Me owner of these lands!" He slowly begins to take long strides towards the group of adventurers, his eyes shifting quickly between the three. "Who Proper?!? Who you?!? Why should Vorgar not attack you for entering Vorgar's home?!?" Slowly the harsh, icy breeze begins to pick up, snow blowing softly within the air. Dark clouds slowly begin to circle overhead as snow begins falling quickly from the sky.

I went behind nova as I didn't like the orc's tone. "Whe shouldn't we attack you mr. orc?" I said while behind nova. "Why should we listen to you and maybe we would leave you behind?"

Annabelle quivered but held her ground. She'd never hide behind anybody. She drew her sword slowly, in case the orc decided to try an unintelligent move.

"J-Just leave us alone Vorgar. W-We're stronger than you think. Nova won't hesitate to kill you if you step outta line, ya hear? And we got his back."

The weather was getting colder and colder. Annabelle's lips were turning purple from the intense chill and her teeth wouldn't stop shattering.

Nova standing face to face with the orc, had no intentions backing down. "You heard the ladies, were here on a quest and if you stand in my way i will personally take you up..... Alone" Still having his hand over the hilt of his blade. "As for our names Miss Knight on my left is Annabella, the one behind me is Rose and my name is Nova, Nova Gauner" "Also as i explained before were here to catch a bunch of thieves, the non-friendly types" He looked up and with a grin. "If you own these lands, would you have happened to have seen a man and a couple of goblins with him?"

The Orc's eyes narrow at the man, pure rage appearing on his face, a small snarl escaping his lips. Instead of allowing his anger to take control of him though, he chooses to keep his composure. He slowly turns his head and points off to the opposite side of the lake. "You seek thieves, me thinks they be based acrossed the lake. No way cross other than swim." Vorgar slowly turns his body from the group and strolls casually into the near frozen waters of the Lake of Tears.

"S-Swim!" I said shivering from the extreme cold of the frozen lake. "We would all die if we went in from the extreme cold." I said to the orc. "I rather we walk around the lake to catch the thieves."

"Don't worry Rose. In my potions belt I have with me something that might help. I have a temperature raising potion. We can split it and wade right on through, unaffected by the cold. Nova? Would you like to split the potion with us?"

"Well if he's just defending his area and not aggressive toward us, then i see no reason to trust him for now" "This wouldn't be the first time swimming in frozen cold water, not something i am looking forward to, but i'll live" "I'll go with him until we get to the other side first and i'll make a fire right away, my armor is resistance to cold but not waterproof i'll freeze on the inside, given the time if i stay wet"

Looking ahead at the orc, then starting to walk in the water, ughh this is pretty cold. Giving a little chuckle as the ice cold water was seeping into my clothes. "Alright lets get this over with" I said toward the orc and started following him, while the cold, is starting to restrict my movements, taking deep breaths trying to get used to the cold for now so i can continue swimming without sinking to the bottom.

"If others wish to join I can sell boat 7,000 gold" The orc says pointing to a large log near the shore. "Also no drink water, its salt" He says as he start to wade into the freezing lake bits of ice bouncing off his legs as he goes deeper with the water quickly getting waist high on Vorgar. "Also watch out for water grabbers that pull you under" as the orc says this his eyes squint over the water.

Annabelle took out her potion and began to sip it down.

"I guess we better get going if we want to finish this damn quest and get our reward."

Annabelle took a small moment for her potion to take affect and as soon as she felt her temperature rise she began to walk into the water, wading through. It was still kind of cold, but not as much as it would of been. Annabelle felt the water seep into her clothes.

"Great!" She thought

"Getting my clothes all wet is the last thing I needed."

She continues walking through the water until its too deep to stand and she has no choice but to swim. She holds her breath and goes completely under water swimming in a mermaid-ish way. That's the quickest way Annabelle knows how to swim. She rises to the surface every once in a while to breathe since she can't hold her breath very long.

Already getting somewhat used to the water and trying to raise his body temperature with his will, Nova then starts swimming through the freezing cold water, not helping him fight off the cold he is facing, but still powering through. Trying to swim at a steady but quick pace, he keeps trying to look down in case of anything to come out and around trying not to focus on his body that's slowly losing his temperature.

"Just how far do you, expect us to swim in this freezing temperature, this is a lake, we could get onto land and walk, or something can't we" Stopping at almost every word cause of the freezing water.

I walked back to where we first met the orc as I saw them swimming and crossing the frozen lake. I was wearing a coat and long pants for this quest as it was still bitter cold as the first time I came here. I noticed someone by a boat as I sighed and breathed into my hands. I noticed anna swimming as I shivered thinking she was really cold. I went to the boat guard asking if I can ride the boat for free to join up with the others.

Vorgar hastens his swim through the icy waters seeing the frail humies starting to falter. "Should have bought boat, wouldn't been as bad" He says between breaststrokes seeming like this is a routine swim for him before noticing the humie by the shore standing near his log and stops for a moment to yell back "7000 gold!"

Annabelle continues to swim. She could feel herself starting to get achey in her arms and legs. She looks around and spies Nova swimming nearby. He was shivering as he swam and spoke. Poor Nova, Annabelle thought. 

"Hey, are you sure you can handle this alone?" ~She shouts at him

"I got more potions! Are you sure you're okay on your own?"

Annabelle stops swimming for a second and hovers around in one spot, just in case Nova wanted to take a sip of her potion. 

"They would really help you Nova, don't be a hardhead and just accept my offer!"

Nova continued to swim getting more used to the cold, remembering his old times when he was younger and swam in colder temperature water, which his father had to break huge chunks of ice to get to the liquid part. "Its alright, i'm getting used to the water little by little, but i doubt we can stay in here for to long, if you can handle it lets try to move a little faster with me" Nova said while picking up the speed, catching up to Vorgar.

"I say we move over to the piece of land, over there" Pointing to the left of there location to a plain field, that was a clear path to the location there are heading anyways. "If your interested in staying in this freezing cold water, i won't stop you, but we can't stay in here for so long" Nova said as he kept pushing forward now heading toward the land.

I noticed the group swim as I sighed wishing to join them soon as I can. I noticed 2 people stopping one big thing swimming as I saw them went to the plain field as I smiled. I ignored the orc as I started to work my way to the plains to meet up with nova and anna. I walked down more trying to keep pace with both people as I waved to them pointing to the opening.
